Biologists will try tonight to disperse the thousands of crows that have returned to Rochester's Washington Square Park.
City officials say anywhere from 20,000 to 30,000 crows have been roosting in the city, and need to be dispersed. Wildlife biologists will use pyrotechnics, spotlights, lasers and amplified recordings of crow distress calls.
The City says these methods will not harm the birds.
Management efforts will begin at 5 o'clock tonight at Washington Square Park and continue through the night.
