Seneca Park Zoo Introduces New Animal

The Seneca Park Zoo has a new animal. It's a rock hyrax -- a small, relative of elephants.

She will live in the Main Zoo Building until the new "Animals of the Savanna" expansion opens this summer.

She was born in 2017 at the Bronx Zoo and will get a male partner this spring. When it opens, the new Savanna exhibit will have giraffes and more than a dozen species new to the zoo.
