Public College Students in NYS Can Now Apply For Free Tuition

Today is the first day public college students in New York State can start applying for free tuition.

Governor Cuomo's program will cover four-year tuition for in-state students whose families earn 125-thousand-dollars or less.  Students still have to pay for room and board.

In most cases, students must stay in New York for the same number of years they receive the money or pay the state back.
