Statewide Open Burning Ban In Effect Through Mid May

It's still too early to fire up a bonfire in New York State.  

A statewide open burning ban is still on the books from now through May 14th.  

Governor Cuomo says the residential brush burning ban will help protect the health and well-being of New Yorkers. Cuomo says firefighters have already dealt with numerous brush fires throughout the state recently.
