Buffalo Bills' Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters has notified the team that he will end his holdout.
Buffalo Bills' Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters has notified the team that he will end his holdout and report to the team on Saturday.
Once Peters reports, talks are expected to start for a new contract. Peters, who has three years remaining on his contract, sat out the entire preseason, with the Bills refusing to reopen contract talks with him until he reported.
He has been fined $15,166 a day for each of the 43 days he has held out.
By reporting, Peters won't lose a game check. Though the team will be granted a two-week roster exemption, Peters will have a chance to make his $3.25 million base salary this year.
At least one source, the NFL Network, Peters will not be playing in this Sunday's game. You will be able to hear that game, and every Bills' game this season on WHAM.
